Alton Drew is managing director and senior policy analyst of The Alton Drew Group, a political intelligence firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. His firm provides research and analysis to investors, hedge funds, and private equity firms on public policy, regulatory, and legal actions that may impact their portfolios.
During a 25-year career, Mr. Drew has served as an analyst, economist, and regulatory board member in the state governments of Florida, Georgia, and Maryland. Mr. Drew has also served with the County of Fairfax, Virginia in their cable regulatory division.
As a former attorney with Cole, Raywid & Braverman, LLP, Mr. Drew has represented Comcast Corporation before the Virginia State Corporation Commission and has filed on behalf of clients applications for permission to provide telephone service with the Delaware Public Service Commission, the Michigan Public Service Commission, and the Florida Public Service Commission.
Mr. Drew is a former senior regulatory analyst/editor with Telecommunications Reports International. He currently provides commentary on national public policy for Examiner.com. In addition, Mr. Drew has appeared on CNBC and has had guest columns and articles published in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Business Week, and the NATOA Journal of Municipal Telecommunications Policy.
Mr. Drew graduated from the Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in economics and political science (1984); a Master of Public Administration (1993); and a Juris Doctor (1999).
